Plaa nâw tua diaw měn tháng khoông
(One rotten fish makes the whole catch stink)
This Thai proverb means that one person doing wrong can affect reputation of a whole group of people.
It can also mean that the person doing wrong can have a negative influence on those aroung him or her, causing then to do wrong as well.
Its matching English equivalent is “One rotten apple spoils the whole barrel.”
